The small streets perpendicular to the sea, the vast golden sandy beach and the imposing promontory transform Nazaré into a very special place. The seashore reminds the past days when the boats laid near the ocean and the pulling nets made the faces of the people become alive with hope and joy. From those old days remained the custom of sun-drying the fish, aligned in the “paneiros”, sardines and horse-mackerel, which are put to dry by women in typical costumes.
